Restless legs sufferers, there is hope!

Hi ,

I have suffered from restless legs for as long as I can remember, just like my mother and her mother before her, only we called it nervous legs. There was no medical term for it back then, we just thought it was a family thing. Miserable as we were, we just learned to live with it because no one seemed to know what it was. I have learned over the years how to deal with it, but still thought that only a few suffered from RLS, until recently. It is nice to know that I am not alone, but also sad that so many suffer from this problem. I started this blog just to post some things I have learned about Restless legs and hope to hear how other people are coping with it as well. I’m new at this, so I don’t know the etiquette of these sites. Please let me know if I do something wrong. I will try to share an idea every week and would love any comments you might have about what I write.

My first post this week is to mention the positive effects I have had from taking calcium with magnesium at night . It was initially, for the severe leg cramps I have at night, but it has also seemed to help with RLS. The calcium must be taken at night before you go to bed. The calcium must have magnesium with it or the body cannot absorb it as well. It was an interesting side effect that I thought was worth mentioning.
